JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Those looking to escape Jacksonville for a weekend trip to the Rocky Mountain region are in luck.

United Airlines will soon offer daily flights between Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) and Denver International Airport (DEN).

Starting April 9, the airline will have nonstop service on a 76-seat E-175 aircraft with a two-class cabin. Here's the tentative schedule:

  • DEN-JAX, departs 9:45 a.m., arrives 3:19 p.m.
  • JAX-DEN, departs 3:55 p.m., arrives 6:13 p.m.

Though the new route won't begin until the spring, passengers can already book their flights on united.com.

United joins Frontier Airlines, which announced back in September that it too was offering service between Denver and Jacksonville.
