Florida’s Hurricane Ian claims at $1.6B; More than 222,000 insurance claims filed

Five days after Hurricane Ian pummelled its way through Florida — more than 222,000 insurance claims have been filed from Hurricane Ian with estimated losses of 1.6 billion as of Tuesday. Those numbers are expected to dramatically increase with estimates as high as 40 billion.
