JSO officer critically wounded in early morning shooting related to traffic stop

A 25-year-old Jacksonville police officer is in the hospital with critical injuries after being shot Sunday morning in the Duclay neighborhood, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Malik Daricaud was struck by a potentially fatal gunshot after assisting officers with a follow-up investigation for a traffic incident from last week.
