JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Get those jackets ready this weekend, we have a holiday cold snap ahead of us.

The National Weather Service has placed a freeze warning in effect from 3 to 9 a.m. Saturday. A freeze warning means temperatures are expected to be at or below freezing for at least two hours. The warning includes all counties in Channel 4's viewing area except St. Johns and Flagler.

Temperatures will reach lows around 30 degrees across inland southeast Georgia and in the low 30s across inland northeast Florida.

Increased cloud cover late Friday night could disrupt this potential light freeze.

According to the NWS, a freeze watch means sub-freezing temperatures are possible for two hours. Precautions may be required to protect plants, pets and those sensitive to the cold if a freeze warning is issued.
