JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Scattered showers and showers will impact the first part of your week ahead of a strong cold front while leaving cold and dry air in its wake.
Monday: Mostly cloudy skies continues with lighter northeasterly winds near 10 mph. There's a chance for passing storms and showers during the afternoon and evening hours. Highs will reach the upper 70s as warm front lifts north from Central Florida.
Tuesday & Wednesday: Ahead of another frontal boundary - a cold front - storms will develop Tuesday afternoon. Gusty winds and scattered storms should be expected. That front will continue to produce showers and storm through midweek.
Highs will hit the low 80s on Tuesday dropping into the mid 60s and low 70s by midweek. The cold front will eventually move east and will deliver cold and dry air behind it by Friday when highs will struggle to reach the 60s.
