Storms return Saturday

No rain-free days for some time

JACKSONVILLE, Fla – Seasonal temperatures continue with increasing rain chances through the weekend.  Locally heavy rainfall due to slow moving storms.  Showers and storms will develop this afternoon, some may be locally heavy to severe.

Saturday:  Partly cloudy skies will become cloudy with showers and thunderstorms, 60-80 percent for inland areas, 50-60 percent along our beaches.  Showers with storms possible between noon-8pm with widespread coverage inland and along the beaches.  Afternoon highs in the upper 80s to low 90s inland, 80s along our beaches.  Wind SW 5-10 mph.

Sunday:  A stronger westerly flow will result in higher rain chances closer to I-95 with locally heavy rainfall possible.  Patchy fog with wake up temperatures in the 70s.  Scattered afternoon showers and storms will spread from the west to east from late morning through evening, 50-70 percent inland, 50 percent along the area beaches.  Wind SW 5-10 mph.
