Evening showers push through, chilly & windy on Friday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Today was mild with building clouds, those clouds are building ahead of evening showers. A round of rain will push across our area after sunset through around midnight. Expect the earlier rounds of showers along I-75 to Highway 301, and the latest showers pushing offshore from our southern coastal counties.

A cold front behind the showers pushed through behind the rain, expect a chilly, windy, mostly cloudy Friday. Temperatures start out in the upper 40s and low 50s and only warm up into the upper 50s under mostly cloudy skies. A chilly westerly winds will build to be between 15-20 mph.

Saturday starts out even chillier- in the upper 30s and low 40s. Expect mostly sunny skies and cool temperatures in the afternoon, topping out in the upper 50s with westerly winds around 10 mph.

Sunday morning is the chilliest start of the week, in the mid 30s. We may see some inland patchy frost to begin the day. Temperatures will only climb into the chilly upper 50s.
