JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Beautiful start will kick off Friday. A few clouds, but mainly sunny skies and quickly warming temperatures. Sunrise temperatures will be near 45° but by noon we will be near 70°.

Sounds great! Trouble is, it will come at a price.

Grab your umbrella.

A round or two of downpours are expected between 1-5 pm. Quickly swinging in from the west and pushing off the coast. Rainfall amounts may reach up to a 1/2″ in some backyards.

Then, comes the chill down.

Gusty winds will push across the area starting early Saturday morning. Gusts during Saturday afternoon will reach to 33 mph and despite sunshine, we will see afternoon highs only in the mid 50s. Brrr...

Winds settle down overnight Saturday which will drive colder and freezing temperatures across much of South Georgia and just west of Jacksonville. Coldest temperatures may dip into the upper 20s in Georgia. Frost may occur close to area beaches.

Sunday and Monday will remain chilly, as winds diminish it will feel somewhat better as sunny skies dominate.

Afternoon highs will be in the 50s.
