Cold but clear viewing conditions for SpaceX rocket launch

Falcon 9 scheduled to blast off after postponement

Evening launch for Starlink satellites has less than 5% chance for bad weather tonight.

Keep your eyes open and heads pointed to the southeast for a chance to see the SpaceX  launch this evening.

A Falcon 9 rocket will lift off Tuesday night at 7:04 p.m. from Kennedy Space Center in Florida carrying 49 Starlink internet satellites.

Weather conditions will be excellent for spotting the orange flare in the sky after sunset. Just be sure to bring a jacket since temperatures around Jacksonville will be in the upper 40s at 7 p.m.

Weather conditions have improved from yesterday when SpaceX Monday night’s launch was postponed due to high winds and waves in the Atlantic Ocean recovery zone.

If you are at the coast look east and you should be able to see the first stage booster descend back to SpaceX’s drone ship “A Shortfall of Gravitas” stationed beyond our sight in the Atlantic Ocean.
