After the rain the heat kicks in this weekend

Cold front tonight dries us out

Showers ending for the start of the Jazz Fest tonight.

Pockets of rain cover north Florida but showers are starting to dry up across northern areas around Georgia. A few storms will continue between Clay and St. Johns before fading late this afternoon. Most of the rain will be over by the start of the Jazz Fest but the humidity stays the evening.

Rain will bush out around sunset with some clearing in the cloudy skies.  I would expect the rain to be gone by 8 pm. Overnight a front moves in and will contribute to some fog after our breezy day gives way to calmer conditions overnight.  Temps in the 80s fall to the mid 60s with 70° at the coast.

Saturday will be hot and mostly sunny, with a high near 91. Southwest wind 5 to 8 mph with no rain.

It stays just as dry and hot into Sunday but the evenings will have a break with temps sliding into the mid 60s.

Memorial Day stays dry for most of us except for some late afternoon storms 30% targeting areas inland west of Highway 301 and over to the Gulf Coast of North Florida.
