Rain has been persistent in southern areas, and the rain bands from Ian will continue to increase overnight. The heaviest activity will remain south of Jacksonville, where heavy rainfall is possible. Overnight lows will be in the 60s.
The worst of the weather from Ian is still on track to arrive Thursday into Thursday night. Rounds of heavy rain and strong winds will develop, especially along the coast. Strong waves and beach erosion is also likely. The heaviest rainfall looks to stay along and east of the US 301 corridor.
Ian will quickly exit Friday, resulting in rapidly improving conditions. The rain and wind will wind down later in Southeast Georgia, with highs in the 70s and 80s.
The weekend still looks good for cleanup, with plenty of sun and highs in the 80s.
