Torando Watch for Georgia and FL Panhandle

A warm day with rain on the way

JACKSONVILLE, FL – A tornado watch has been issued for Georgia until 8 p.m. Parts of the Florida Panhandle are also included in addition to areas west of I-75 in north Florida. Storms will be increasing through the afternoon with the potential for hail and isolated tornadoes.

Rain should hold off until the evening over NE FL and once it begins look for showers through midnight.

Intense storms may develop across Jacksonville after 7 pm this evening with over an inch of rain overnight. The heaviest rain is likely from 8-10 pm in Jacksonville.

Monday morning starts with showers south of Jax. The day stays cloudy in the 70s.

Colder air in the 60s on Wednesday And Thursday and nights in the 40s.

The next chance of rain will arrive Saturday.
