JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Severe T’Storm Watch has been issued for all of SE Georgia and Nassau and Duval counties until 11 pm. Strong to severe storms will move in from the NW, with gusty winds the biggest threat. Temps this evening will fall into the low 80s.
More showers and storms will be possible overnight in SE Georgia, then diminish in the early morning. Daybreak temps will be in the mid 70s.
Lower rain and storm chances are expected, with the heat continuing. We’ll see more clouds on Wednesday, with the best chance for storms again in the PM hours. Highs for Wednesday will be in the mid 90s.
The heat marches on for late week. Partly cloudy skies are again expected Thursday and Friday, with just a few scattered PM storms. Temps both days will be in the upper 90s.
The upcoming weekend also looks hot, with a slightly better chance for afternoon storms. Highs both Saturday and Sunday will be in the mid to upper 90s.
