Scattered showers, storms this evening

Cooler temperatures behind all of the rain

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Showers are pushing through Clay, Duval and Putnam county right now, heading into St Johns and Flagler counties. Expect some heavy rainfall along I-95, then out towards the beaches. This will be the last of the heavy rain, with only lighter showers left to ge tthrough for the evening hours. 

Expect overcast skies, fading winds, and mild temperatures overnight tonight.

We will wake up in the 60s on Tuesday morning. Skies will clear out during the day on Tuesday, from mostly cloudy to mostly sunny. Winds will be light out of the northwest , under 10mph. Temperatures will meander through the 70s and to out in the low 80s during the afternoon hours. 

Colder, drier air builds into the southeast, and that will cool us down significantly Tuesday night. Expect overnight temperatures to work down into the 50s by early Wednesday morning.

Wednesday will be crisp and cool, only topping out in the low 70s under beautiful blues skies. Wednesday night will turn chilly quickly, and overnight temperatures head down well into the 40s for the first time this season. Dry conditions prevail.

Thursday will be cool and clear with afternoon temperatures topping out in the low to mid 70s with no significant chances for showers.
