Warm temperatures slowly trail off through Sunday evening

Sunday kicks off three-day warm-up above seasonal averages

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Mostly cloudy skies will filter in through the evening hours and inland temperatures will drop fall to the 50s while the coastal zones will into the upper 40s. Patchy fog may develop in some areas across the region tomorrow morning through the 9 a.m. hour.

Southerly winds will push highs to mid-to-upper 70s across region-wide Monday. A few light to moderate rain showers may move push through the area north I-10 between 1-7 p.m due a low pressure system riding the Gulf Coast.

The warming trend will linger into Tuesday ahead a frontal passage Wednesday going into Thursday that could produce a few scattered showers and storms. The rain will be short-lived before high pressure builds in yet again by weeks' end once again providing us with high temperatures surpassing seasonal averages.
