Hot afternoon, isolated showers

Heat plus humidity leaves feel-like afternoon temps near 100°

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – We topped out in the toasty upper 80s and low 90s under mostly to partly cloudy skies. Drier air moved into our area from the Atlantic, but a few showers fired up in Camden, Glynn, & Brantley counties during the afternoon.

Tonight you can expect partly cloudy to mostly clear skies, with temperatures dropping down into the upper 60s and low 70s by early Wednesday morning. Patchy fog is possible, especially in southeastern Georgia where a little more moisture is evident.

Wednesday will be hot and dry with light winds. We will warm quickly into the 80s, and top out around 90°, when you consider the humidity it will feel more like the upper 90s to low triple digits during the afternoon. Winds will be light, out of the East between 5-10mph. Chances for rain are nearly nonexistent and you can expect partly cloudy skies.

The hot & drier weather continues for the rest of the work week, and even as we move into the weekend the chances for showers are isolated, but the northeasterly winds will pick back up and keep us in the mid 80s instead of around 90° for afternoon highs.
