JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Tropical Storm Philippe dissipated while being absorbed by a cold front that swept through Jacksovnille Sunday.
The National Hurricane Center issued its last advisory at 5 pm Sunday after the system lost circulation due to the cold front merger. The system accelerated NE off the mid-Atlantic at nearly 50 mph an hour.

A tornado warning was issued Saturday night in Palm Beach County and witnesses reported seeing a tornado in downtown West Palm Beach and in Boynton Beach.
This system was never forecast to impact Jacksonville, but south Florida picked up 4-6 inches of rain as the storms quickly passed.
