PALATKA, Fla. – A man and a woman were arrested in connection with the shooting death of a 28-year-old man in what Putnam County investigators believe was a drug deal turned robbery attempt.
Rebecca Hicks, 21, and Brandon Nunley, 27, are charged with murder in the killing of Antonio Mulberry.

Mulberry was shot to death at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday on Augusta Road in Palatka, deputies said.
They said after interviewing Hicks and Nunley, both were arrested and booked into the Putnam County Jail on charges of murder and robbery.
"Fast action, quick thinking and sound detective work led to the arrest of these violent criminals," Sheriff Jeff Hardy said. "I am very proud of all of the detectives and staff involved in bringing this murder investigation to a swift conclusion."
