2 hurt in head-on crash on Collins Road No description found
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A two-car crash at the intersection of Collins and Rampart roads Monday morning injured both drivers, one critically.
Jacksonville Sheriff's Office homicide detectives said a man eastbound on Collins in a Honda lost control of his car and veered into oncoming traffic. That car struck a Dodge heading west.
The driver of the Honda was taken to UF Health Jacksonville with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the second car had less serious injuries. Their names were not released at the scene.
Lanes of Collins Road reopened about 2 p.m., nearly three hours after the accident occured.
