4 hurt in near-head-on Mandarin crash

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – At least four people were injured in a near-head-on crash in Mandarin on Tuesday afternoon, according to Jacksonville Fire-Rescue.

The crash happened on Old St. Augustine at Kori Road at about 1:30 p.m.

A pickup truck was headed north on Old St. Augustine, waiting to turn left on Kori road and was hit almost head-on by an SUV, which went airborne and landed on its roof.

Three people from the SUV were transported to the hospital, as well as the driver of the pickup, who had to be cut out of the vehicle.  A passenger in the pickup was not injured.

The names of those involved and the extent of the injuries was not available.
