Body discovered floating in lake
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville police are investigating after a body was discovered in a lake on the Westside near the Marietta area.
The discovery was made Sunday afternoon near Commonwealth Avenue and Picketville Road. Investigators believe the man drowned.
Police said the man was last seen swimming in the lake by his friend at about 4:30 p.m. before his body was found.
Investigators do not suspect foul play. They have not released his name.
