Teen hospitalized after shooting in Jacksonville Police searching for clues in teen shooting No description found
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that sent a teenager to the hospital.
According to police, the 17-year-old teen was shot in the stomach. He then went to his brother's house and asked his brother to drive him to the hospital. When police arrived at the hospital, the teen was in the operating room undergoing surgery.
Police are now interviewing the brother to find out what led to the shooting and where the incident occurred. The brother is considered a witness in this case and his orange van was taken in for processing.
The teen is expected to be okay. He is recovering from non-life threatening injuries.
