JSO releases surveillance image

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office wants to learn who burglarized the Med Smart Pharmacy, and then two days later, targeted the same spot — this time, breaking in and setting a fire, authorities said.

Narcotics were stolen in both incidents, which took place Sept. 21 and Sept. 23, police said.

On Sept. 21, the burglar struck the pharmacy, at 7855 Argyle Forest Blvd., between 1:45 a.m. and 2 a.m., breaking two windows and removing screens, according to the Sheriff's Office. Police responded to the alarm but didn’t find the assailant.

On Sept. 23, the burglary took place between the hours of 3:40 a.m. and 6 a.m., police said. When officers arrived, they said they found a rear window broken, and saw fire and smoke.

Officials from the fire department put out the blaze, and investigators noticed someone had entered a safe and stolen money — along with a large amount of narcotics, police said.
