ALACHUA, Fla. – A motorcyclist is in serious condition and a passenger was killed after being thrown off the bike, troopers said.
The crash happened at 12:25 a.m. Saturday in Alachua County.

The driver, Kevin Inman, 25, of Alachua failed to negotiate a curve in the road at Northwest 226 Street at Northwest 102nd Avenue, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Police said Inman failed to keep the Yamaha R6 on the road.
The passenger Brittany Lasauce, 23, of Gainesville, was killed. Inman was taken to UF Health Gainesville with serious injuries.
Police said alcohol did not play a role in the crash.
