JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Family and friends of a mother of four came together Sunday to honor her memory and bring awareness to her unsolved murder.
Shalinda Rosier's body was found behind an abandoned warehouse on Myrtle Avenue one year ago Monday. Police have not found her killer.
Rosier's mother Linda Rosier said she misses her daughter every day. Her family joined together with the crime fighting group MAD DADS and held a vigil.
Loved ones said Rosier was a fun, loving person who had no enemies. Her mother doesn't understand the motivation behind her death.
"I've never lost a child," Linda Rosier said. "I just want someone to come up and just give up and say what happened to Shalinda. Because Shalinda didn't bother nobody."
Family and friends brought candles and balloons to the area where her body was found. They prayed together and wanted to remind everyone this case is still unsolved.
"Let this mom know what happened to her daughter," Beverly McClain, one of Rosier's friends, said. "She's can't sleep, she's hardly eating, she needs closure and peace."
