Florida home insurance most expensive in nation

Florida is the most expensive state for home insurance in the nation.

That's according the National Association of Insurance Commissioners.

The sunshine state is the only one where the home insurance on average costs more than two-thousand dollars a year.

The fact that we are a coastal state is behind high cost.

Louisiana and Texas came in at number two and three for cost of homeowners insurance rates.
