Clay County deputies: Adult drowns in private pool

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – An adult drowned in a private pool Monday afternoon, the Clay County Sheriff's Office said. 

Two Sheriff's Office cruisers could be seen about 5 p.m. outside a home on Dockside Drive, just west of U.S. 17 in northern Fleming Island. About 40 minutes later, a crime scene technician van pulled up.

A Sheriff's Office spokesperson said the adult was about 50 years old.
