Man steals chainsaw, 17 other items from hardware store No description found
GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. – Police are looking for a man who was caught on camera stealing about $900 worth of merchandise from a Green Cove Springs hardware store.
It happened last Friday at the Hagan Ace Hardware on North Orange Avenue. Security cameras showed the man filling a shopping cart with 18 different items, including a chainsaw and an air compressor. Owner Jacob Hagan told News4Jax the man walked out behind a sign at the front door, as store employees were busy helping customers.
Hagan said the man left in a black pickup truck. He was unsure if anyone else was involved.
Officers are investigating the theft and looking for the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call the Green Cove Springs Police Department at 904-529-2220.
