SBA offers small business loans for Pulse shooting

Businesses directly impacted by the June 12 mass shooting at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando can now apply for low-interest economic injury disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Gov. Rick Scott announced Thursday that the SBA has made a disaster declaration for Orange, Brevard, Lake, Osceola, Polk, Seminole and Volusia counties. Scott requested Wednesday that the SBA make the loans available for Orange County.

The state has already made its Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan Program available for emergency, short-term, interest-free loans to small businesses impacted by the Orlando massacre.
