Shoplifting suspect dies in crash during chase on I-10

LIVE OAK, Fla. – A woman pursued from a shoplifting incident at the Live Oak Walmart store died Saturday afternoon in a car crash on Interstate 10.
The Florida Highway Patrol said 41-year-old Jannie Hodge of Madison was driving east on I-10 near Live Oak about 5 p.m. faster than 100 mph when she lost control of her car and struck a tree. She was thrown from the car and died at the scene.

Troopers said the chase began at the Walmart after she tried to ram a Suwannee County sheriff's deputy's car with hers.
