Body found on lawn of Castillo de San Marcos

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Police say a dead body has been found on the grounds of the Castillo de San Marcos in St. Augustine.

Police told the St. Augustine Record they were called out to investigate a body at the popular tourist site on Thursday morning.

Spokesman Mark Samson says it appears to be the body of a homeless person who had been ill recently. Police did not release the person's name.

Samson says foul play has been ruled out.
