Missing Louisiana man found dead on St. Simons Island

GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. – Glynn County police said a missing man was found on St. Simons Island Monday morning.

Police say 24-year-old Carlos Eduardo Padilla, of Louisiana, was reported missing on Dec. 26 while he was in Glynn County on a work assignment, adding that his autopsy report ruled the case a suicide.

His body was found by workers from a pool cleaning service at a property on Old Demere Road, according to GCPD.

Police say there is also no known connection between Padilla and the residents of the home where his body was found.
