Man killed in self-defense shooting, police say

Police: 31-year-old shot in head during 'domestic disturbance'

BRUNSWICK, Ga. – Police are investigating a possible deadly self-defense shooting in Glynn County.

According to Glynn County Police, officers were called to Ogg Avenue in Brunswick about 4:15 p.m. Sunday because of a domestic disturbance.

They found Termaine Waye, 31, lying on the ground in front of the home with a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to the South East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Brunswick, where he died.

A 25-year-old man was taken into custody without incident in connection with the shooting, but the preliminary investigation indicates the shooting was justified and the man has not been charged with a crime. News4Jax is not naming him, because he is not facing charges.
