Girlfriend says boyfriend was critically shot during argument

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The girlfriend of a man who was shot Thursday night in a Mandarin neighborhood said the shooting stemmed from an argument.

Khristina Wiggin told News4Jax 34-year-old David Majewicz was shot on the patio of his home. She said her boyfriend went to a neighbor's home to make amends from a prior argument.

When he went to the home, Wiggin said they got into another argument and the man called for his friend to get a gun. That's when she said he came back and shot her boyfriend.

"Then he pointed it at me, I was like, 'are you going to shoot me too?'" Wiggin said. "And he was like, 'ya'll just need to go," how are we going to go? You shot my man, how are we going to go?"

Police have not announced an arrest in Majewicz's shooting. Wiggin said he's still in the hospital and is scheduled to have another surgery Monday.
