Jacksonville's tire and sign buyback

No description found

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The city of Jacksonville is buying your trash to help clean up the city. It’s the “Cash for Trash, Tire & Sign Buyback” event. In its third year, this event is part of the city’s Fight Blight initiative. Between the hours of 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, people who live in Duval County can bring tires and illegal snipe signs to parking lot Z of EverBank Field or Veterans Memorial Arena. You need to bring valid ID to take advantage of this opportunity.

Each tire you bring can fetch up to $2. The limit is 10. Tires can still have the rim attached. However, tires from bikes, monster trucks or heavy equipment won’t be accepted. Illegal snipe signs, mainly lawn signs seen advertising “We Buy Ugly Houses” or “Cash for Gold,” for example, could get you up to 50 cents apiece. The limit on those is 40. But legally permitted snipe signs can’t be dropped off and will not get you any money.
