JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Customers of JEA will be receiving a fuel credit averaging $60 per household based on energy consumption for the month of October.
JEA said the average fuel credit will vary by household. The JEA's board of directors approved the credit over the summer.

The fuel credit is a result of JEA's use of a diverse fuel mix that includes natural gas and coal. It allows JEA to switch to the lowest cost fuel to generate electricity that generates a savings which is passed down to the customer.
JEA has credited customers in the past in April 2013, July 2014 and April 2015.
