JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 21-year-old man is recovering after he was shot while driving his car on the Westside early Thursday morning.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, police dispatched to a call about a shooting at the Gate station on 103rd Street near I-295 found Vintavous Delafield.

Delafield police he was turning off of Blanding Boulevard onto 103rd when his car was shot into several times by someone in a four-door car.

After he was shot, Delafield drove to the Gate station and called for help. He was transported to UF Health and is in stable condition.

Police did not have suspect or vehicle description information.
