Fight organized on Facebook ends in shooting No description found
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said a man was shot when a group of teenagers showed up to Northwest Jacksonville neighborhood for a fight.
According to officers at the scene Friday night, a group of young people showed up to the 9200 block of 6th Street, near Soutel Drive, for a fight that was posted on Facebook.
Police said when the teenagers arrived for the fight, someone began shooting a gun. An adult black male was shot. The victim was taken to UF Health, and his injuries are described as not life-threatening.
Officers have not identified the gunman, or said who organized the fight on social media.
