JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Two people were injured when a gun in a bag of donated clothing went off at the Salvation Army store on Beach Boulevard Friday, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said.

Police said the accidental shooting was reported just before 5 p.m.

According to the Sheriff's Office, employees were sorting through the clothing when the firearm went off. The person handling the .22 caliber pistol was shot in the left hand and the bullet continued and grazed the chest of another person.

Both people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, but were later released.

Investigators said there is no surveillance video of the person who donated the bag.

The Sheriff's Office continues to investigate, but detectives said they don't believe the gun is related to any other shootings.
