JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A woman was found dead in a pickup truck in Northwest Jacksonville Wednesday evening, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said.
Officers were called about 6:30 p.m. to Vernon Road to investigate a red pickup truck parked on the driveway behind the back of the Family Dollar that had not been moved in a while.
Police said a woman was found inside, wrapped in a sheet in the cab of the truck.
The medical examiner was called to remove the body from the vehicle and after an autopsy, police announced that no foul play is suspected in her death. Her cause of death is pending toxicology results.
The woman has not been identified.
The Sheriff's Office continues to investigate.
