Police ID man found dead Christmas night No description found
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police now know the identity of the man found dead along Old Kings Road about 7 p.m. Friday, but they haven't said the cause of death.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office identified the man Sunday as 22-year-old Matthew Jones. His last known address was on French Street, about 5 miles from where his body was found.
Detectives said at the scene there were no signs of foul play, but in releasing the name, officers said Jones' death is an ongoing homicide investigation.
