JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Jacksonville man died in a crash on the Southside Friday night when another driver pulled into his path, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Daniel Johnson, 35, was traveling east on Atlantic Boulevard at the intersection of Indian Springs Drive shortly before 8:30 p.m.

Brian Gomer, 43, of Jacksonville, was traveling west on Atlantic Boulevard at that same intersection.
Troopers said Gomer failed to yield and turned left into Johnson's path.
Johnson traveled off the road and struck several large trees, according to the FHP report.
Johnson died at the scene.
The FHP report said charges were pending an investigation.
