Man found dead in pond of Mandarin neighborhood No description found
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. ā Homicide detectives are investigating after a man in his 50s was found in a pondĀ ThursdayĀ afternoon in the Commorant Landing neighborhood, off Aladdin Road in Mandarin.
A Jacksonville Sheriff's Office sergeant said police got a call about aĀ man's body in the water off South Reedpoint Drive. Jacksonville Fire-Rescue retrieved theĀ body and police foundĀ no initial signs of foul play in the man's death, but police are investigating how he ended up in the lake.
Police said they had identified the victim as Steven Craig Ashcraft, 56.
