Man found shot to death at Northside apartment complex

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was found dead on a sidewalk at a Northside apartment complex Friday morning, according to Jacksonville police.

Police said Mark Ervin Taylor, 50, was found dead with a gunshot wound at about 6 a.m. in the Highlander Apartment Homes on Monaco Drive.

Witnesses said they heard gunshots about 1 a.m., and a Ford Mustang was seen leaving the area.

Someone heading to work found the man.
