In 2015, Day pleaded guilty to one count of murder in the second degree.

In January 2014, officers were called to the victim’s home after friends found Nagy unresponsive and Day bleeding from his head.

Upon arrival, authorities found that the victim was deceased due to a single gunshot wound.

The investigation revealed that Day and Nagy, who were in a relationship and lived together at the time, had been in an argument the night before. During the altercation, Day fired multiple shots at the victim, one of which fatally struck her.

He then put the gun under his chin and fired one shot, which missed his brain and lodged into his forehead.
