Man who attempted robbery at downtown ATM wanted

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police are asking the public for help finding a man who pulled a gun on someone withdrawing money from a downtown ATM the evening of Sept. 23.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, the victim was taking money out of the Vystar ATM at 214 N. Hogan Street about 8 p.m. when a man approached him from behind, pointed a gun in his face and demanded money.

Police said the victim was able to run away and call police.

Police released surveillance images of the gunman hoping someone can identify him.
