JACKSONVILLE, Fla – In response to the recent spike in violence, and other crime in our local neighborhoods there has been a call for parents, pastors, and the community to come together to make changes.

There are some wonderful organizations working locally to help young people and their families thrive. We are committed to providing your those resources and highlighting organizations that have a proven track record for success.

Mentoring Families and Kids & National Society of Black Engineers
Partner to provide monthly family mentoring sessions with a focus on STEM exposure and math SAT tutoring.  Including an annual Youth STEM Conference which hosts over 150 students yearly.

Day in the Real World
Workshops for middle and high school students that encourage a pipeline to college.  Has served over 2,500 students over the last 7 years.  Recently implemented a web application that allows nonprofits and teachers to administer their own simulations.

Monthly mentoring group for high school male students.

Founded in 1975, this is one of the largest student-run organizations in the US, centered on improving the recruitment and retention of African-American engineering students.

First Coast NPHC
The organizations that comprise the First Coast NPHC are committed to serving the Jacksonville community.  Each fraternity and sorority provides programs that help raise money for scholarships, assist the needy, and uplifting the entire family.
