Upon arrival, authorities say they found 28-year-old Tyrone Kelly had been shot. Kelly was taken to Shands Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Witnesses tell New4Jax they heard around five shots during the incident.

“Well, I was sitting on the front porch and I was drinking a beer and I heard gun shots around five. I thought it was just a round of someone shooting in the air and I said ‘wait a minute,’ that was kind of close to me.  I hesitated about five or six minutes, so I started walking to the area and I seen someone laying down on the porch. So I walked up on the porch and I saw a body,” said Vasco Williams. He says that's when he called police.

“We do know that there were several people are out here. Several calls did come in to 911. However, at this point we’ve been unable to confirm any type of suspect information,” said Sgt. Rudlaff.
