Police: Man shot on porch dies Police ID man as Jason Bryan Horton No description found
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police have identified a 25-year-old man shot in the torso Monday morning on the porch of a house in the city’s Woodland Acres neighborhood.
The man, Jason Bryan Horton, was initially listed as having non-life-threatening injuries but died at UF Health Hospital, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.
The shooting happened on Dandy Avenue, four blocks from the Woodland Acres Elementary School.
Sgt. Alan Parker said people who were in the home at the time of the shooting were detained for questioning.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
