JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Five people were shot inside Fat Kat Lounge in Murray Hill early Sunday morning. One victim died and four others were taken to a hospital.

Patrol officers with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office were working off-duty outside the business on South Edgewood Avenue near Roosevelt Boulevard just before 4 a.m. when shots were reported inside.

Multiple units responded to secure the scene.  More than 200 people were inside the lounge at the time, according to police.

Four people shot, including the one who died, were taken to a hospital by private vehicle.  A fifth victim -- who has life-threatening injuries -- was transported by rescue personnel.

Their identities along with the identity of the person killed were not immediately released.

Edgewood at Plymouth Street was closed while police conducted their investigation.

JSO did not release any information on a possible suspect or suspects.
